Some seconds reflect the learning curve of new artisans or the refinement of a new design, while others simply fall outside our tolerance guidelines. When this happens, the piece is designated as a second and offered at a reduced price.

Seconds are typically offered at 10%–30% off the original price, depending on the piece.

Seconds may include subtle differences in shape, size, or finish. Common variations can include:

1. Slight dimensional differences beyond our tolerance range, typically ⅛"– ½".
2. Small bubbles within the glass.
3. A gentle wobble that does not affect stability.
4. Occasional stones or cords in the glass, which reflect the molten material and furnace environment.

These variations are visual in nature and part of the handmade process. Pieces that are unsafe, sharp, or unstable are never offered as seconds.
