The Thetford Tealight draws its form from the rolling contours of Vermont’s rural landscape, but the process is what makes it worth understanding. The concentric swirls and dramatic waves worked into the glass are a result of centrifugal force. The pattern emerges as the molten glass spins rather than being carved or applied after the fact. The light moves through it accordingly, warm and textured in a way that flat glass can’t replicate.
