DETAILS

Where the Snowdrift Conical Tree wraps its texture around the outside, the Vela works entirely from within. Small and large bubbles are suspended throughout the glass during the forming process, creating a density that shifts as the light does. The cone silhouette is simple and modern; the interior does the rest. On an LED base it becomes considerably more. The bubbles catch and scatter light in a way that’s hard to replicate with surface texture alone.

The care behind our glass

Glass and Nothing Else

We use a time-honored Scandinavian glass recipe, the finest raw materials, and centuries-old techniques. No fillers, no coatings, no shortcuts.

Water being poured from a Simon Pearce handblown glass pitcher into a tumbler held by a second person, with calm water in the background

Beauty With Purpose

Shaped by hand over the flame, every piece balances form and function. Brilliant to look at, durable enough for daily use, and entirely its own.

The Pontil Mark

Turn a piece over and you'll find this small trace left by the hand that shaped it. We leave it there on purpose to celebrate perfect imperfection.

    The Vela Conical Tree

The Vela Tree is well cast and has a nice smooth finish overall! The micro bubbles formed within the glass walls of the tree look absolutely stunning! In my view the Vela tree looks better in the flesh than as pictured on the site!

My newest addition is my most unique piece. Quite the formation to be sure. Not a how it was accomplished, but it’s an interesting piece.
