We bought the angel in early December as a birthday gift for a family member (to go with a Simon Pearce glass tree that we bought several years ago). We don't live in Vermont, nor does the recipient. My review is less about the product and more about my ordering experience because the item itself is fine. The Simon Pearce website, however, needs an overhaul. Why is a product shown as 'available' on the website but can't be ordered through the site? When I couldn't make the online order work, I honestly thought the problem was my device, so tried multiple computers and my phone to order. I finally resorted to calling and placing the order over the phone. The customer service person who took my order was efficient and helpful. However, the order then took several days to ship. When I'm paying for shipping, I expect the item I order to go out quickly, not several days later. Unfortunately, between the website issues and the delayed shipping, my order arrived several days after the person's birthday. My advice is to plan ahead when ordering or pay for expedited shipping as you have no idea how long your order will take to ship.
